    Case binding with round corners

    Can anyone help Martin Cornford at L&S Printing in Worthing? He's looking for a trade binder to case bind 5,000 books with radius corners on both the text pages and the cover itself and he can't find anyone who can do both. The main issue seems to be with wrapping the covering around the round corners on the case.

    All pointers gratefully received.

    Has he tried William Clowes?

    I'd have thought for that quantity Braithwaites near Wolverhamton too. Are they called JWB now not too sure.

    Another option could be Spink and Thackray in Leeds. They do most of their work by hand, they are real craftsmen with book binding and book restoration. If this job needs hand finishing then these guys are of premium quality. Speak to Carl 0113 278 0353

    Allsopps binders, in Ilkeston (0115 9507631) should be able to quote this, and come to think of it, should be able to produce the Advent Calendar cover job which was queried yesterday. Stan - what a helpful duck.

    Dear Ivor and Stan, Many thanks for the suggestions, most helpful. I’m sorry to report that JW Braithwaites/JWB Finishers is no more as the company closed last year.
