May be some mileage in this, do you have a copy of the proposed contract, will Unite legally advise?http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/Employment/Employees/RedundancyAndLeavingYourJob/DG_10026696

Also remember some of your guys ended up working last friday night. There may also be grounds for re course, as the company technically became insolvent on agreement with the shareholders early evening. The shift was allowed to work even though there was no intent to pay after the event. It may be that if this can be proved DTi may take action on the grounds of knowingly trading insolvently.

See also  http://www.companieshouse.gov.uk/about/gbhtml/gbw1.shtml#five (Chapter 5, do you know if it was MVL or CVL?, looks like MVL), read the requirements which include posting of notice in 2 local papers of intent.

All this may come to nothing but could help

Check out all the links. they are all possibles.

The CVL and MVL are both forms of Voluntary Liquidation, whats interesting is the requirements of Companies House, was it ever spotted in local papers that a request for Voluntary Liquidation had been advertised?

Reading the description for constructive and unfair dismissal, you guys also fit.

apologies if you have already been through these.

Why don't all the 289 staff put B&T into admin your self ? then you don't have to deal with Dolan
