Check for sufficient bleed. Make sure any images or colors that touch the edge go at least 1/8 inch (preferably 1/4 inch) past the borders of the card, and that no important text or images are closer than 1/4 inch to the edge of the card. This will prevent minor printing errors from ruining the bleed effect.
